New Nature-View Tower Completed

With the financial backing of the Henry H. Crapo Foundation, construction of the new “Stairway-to-the-Stars” nature-view tower, with “view-scape” platforms and secondary egress from all three floors of the visitor center, has been completed. The tower is the only bird-watching facility of its kind in the Greater New Bedford area, with long-distance and panoramic viewing opportunities for a wide variety of coastal birds and their habitats. Easy observations of wildlife species has proven to be a focal point which captures viewers’ curiosity and imagination, and opens doors to learn about land conservation, plants, weather and climate.
