Lloyd Center
Received 4-Star Charity Rating
Charity
Navigator, America’s largest independent
evaluator of charities, salutes the Lloyd
Center for the Environment’s charitable
efforts with a four star rating. Receiving
four out of a possible four stars indicates
that an organization excels, as compared to
other charities in America, in successfully
managing the finances of an organization in
an efficient and effective manner. A 4 star
rating means a charity exceeds industry
standards and outperforms most charities in
its Cause. Receiving a four star rating is
an exceptional feat, especially given the
economic challenges many charities have had
to face in the last year.
Charity Navigator evaluates the financial
health of over five thousand charities by
considering industry standards and actual
performance. They look at what industry
experts say about the way charities should
function financially and then they examine
the financial data charities provide to them
and study how charities actually function in
real life. Their rating scales are aligned
to industry standards and then adjusted
based on how charities actually function. To
